It is particularly important to mention that Sophocles is the man who literally brought tourism to the village when, together with his father Michalis, in 1960, they opened, next to the church of Agia Marina - a great Byzantine monument - a café and later restaurant "St. Sophocles", also known as Klemataria, since the pergola was "choked" by vines.
And this place was completely renovated and a kitchen was created that will operate all day and all year round and will offer local flavours based on the cooking and ideas of grandfather and grandmother Voula who accompanied him everywhere.
